Glass

GUAXS glass is being produced in small, exclusive factories which are specialized in producing small editions for international artists and designer. The workers usually function as a team. In order to be successful, the teams need a high degree of skill, coordination and force.

To start the process each worker uses a blow pipe to collect a small amount of glass out of a pot. Then, the glassblower blows the hot glass into a metal form and marks it with his own very individual note.

After the glass object has slowly cooled down in 4 days, it’s time for the object to receive the special GUAXS look. In several complex and accurate production steps the glass surface is cut by the worker. The glass object gets its individual structure and identity. Each piece is a true masterpiece of craftsmanship.
